 JURU COFFEE’S EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY SPECIALTY COFFEE IS FROM BEAUTIFUL RWANDA, THE LAND OF A THOUSAND HILLS. HERE, IN THE AFRICAN RIFT VALLEY AND NEAR THE TANZANIAN BORDER AND AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK, WE GROW ARABICA BOURBON MAYAGUEZ 139 ON OUR 15-HECTARE COFFEE FARM IN THE KAYONZA DISTRICT.


THE COOL CLIMATE AND MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN HELPS US TO PRODUCE COFFEE RICH WITH NOTES OF LEMON-ORANGE ACIDITY, SWEET, SUBTLE GRAPE FLAVOURS AND A LINGERING, SILKY FINISH.
IN THE NORTHERN PROVINCE OF RULINDO, ALTITUDES REACH 2,200M WITH REGULAR RAINFALL AND RICH SOIL FOR OUR COFFEE TREES. THE LOCAL POPULATION HAS PLANTED AND FARMED HERE TRADITIONALLY SINCE 1920s.WE ARE REJUVENATING THE RWANDAN COFFEE INDUSTRY THROUGH BEST-PRACTICE AGRONOMY, IMPROVED SEEDSTOCK AND SEEDLINGS AND A FOCUS ON TRACEABILITY. WE PRACTICE THE PRODUCTION OF SHADE COFFEE AND FULLY INTEGRATED LIVESTOCK MANAGEMENT. OUR NEWEST PROJECT IS ORGANIC FARMING, IN COLLABORATION WITH 532 FARMERS IN RULINDO.
